A community-based environmental awareness program was organized by Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research through the Rural Health & Training Centre, Department of Community Medicine, and Department of Community Health Nursing. The event was conducted on 23rd June 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Adidravidar Higher Secondary School, Kolappancherri. It was held under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and climate action. As part of the program, tree plantation and seed sowing activities were carried out by M.Sc Nursing (I & II Year) students and CRRI (Community Medicine) interns. The initiative aimed to promote awareness among school students and the local community about the significance of greenery, sustainability, and climate protection. The event was successfully conducted with active participation, fostering environmental responsibility and encouraging collective efforts towards a healthier and greener future.
