Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on April 2026 – General Medicine

The Department of General Medicine at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute successfully conducted its Monthly Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on 24 th April 2026. The CME featured two insightful sessions addressing important areas of clinical practice. The first session, titled “Mastering Insulin Therapy,” was delivered by Dr. K. Vengadakrishnan, Professor of General Medicine. The talk emphasized practical approaches to insulin initiation, dose titration, and patient-centered diabetes management, highlighting strategies to improve glycemic control while minimizing complications. The second session, “Recent Advances in Rheumatology,” was presented by Dr. Balaji C, Consultant Rheumatologist. This lecture provided an update on emerging therapies, evolving diagnostic approaches, and the management of autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, offering valuable insights for day-to-day clinical application. The CME served as a platform for knowledge sharing, encouraging interactive discussions among participants. Attendees actively engaged with the speakers, clarifying doubts and discussing real-world challenges in patient care.
