The Department of General Medicine, M1 Unit (Prof. S.R. Ramakrishnan), conducted a Department Awareness Program on Malaria on 20th April 2026 at 10:30 AM in the G-Block Medicine OPD. The program featured skits performed by postgraduates, effectively highlighting the clinical features of malaria, the importance of early diagnosis, and the need for timely treatment to prevent serious complications. Preventive strategies focusing on mosquito control and breeding
reduction were also emphasized. An interactive session with patients was held, during which their queries were addressed, promoting better awareness, early healthcare seeking behavior, and community participation in malaria prevention and control efforts.
